Reflection on my bay window
of the real world, setting sunshine
through woods darkening
is a fiction, alleged macrocosm
polished momentarily
on transparent glass, feigned illusion
separates my mind in two
emotionally involved with figments
of imagination, threads of dreams
deranged senses, brush strokes
mixing colors of feelings
to walk in a labyrinth of mirrors
myopic head set distorts, bends light
before the eye, amplitudes oppose
each other, stall photons, leaving
the full description of the event
incomplete, parts move backward
in time, fixed in memory, to later
annihilate a future, redefining
a present, as the sun finally sets.
