What does this poem have in common
with what it says? The projection
of the proposition, the possibility
of what is projected: old men under
the almond tree, reminiscing before
the sea, as broken waves roar
and seethe upon the shore, safe harbor
from empty starry nights and eerie stillness
as benthic life rises to illuminate
darker fathoms, deep darkness of void
below, beyond the feelings of the heart
or projective limits of enlightened minds
sensitive and alive, reading this poem.
