Urn

Broken urn, vessel of the Lord
fractured on an errand, divided
in its origin, fountainhead
for blessings flowing, there she sits
parted in a fall, error of mortals
to educate, momentary sadness
in resignation, courage to recover
its pieces, shards of soul to mend
integrity of wholeness is the plan.
