CIRCLE II

My life curves, a point
In space-time tethered
To mortality, worries
Whirling stir shadows
Centrifugal ghosts
Dizzying heights.
How many wrong turns
Ago, can we return
To start again
What might have been?
Borders of oblivion
Rolled into decision
Defrauded by our knowing
Owing to our poems’
Odd marble, limestone
Shapes prefer place
Unstable plane: return
To the tomb oh leader
Of the Heralds, once
More around still searching
For ground.
