TOMORROW
Disturbed by the fact that
There is a tomorrow, repository
Of all unfinished sorrow:
Suspension of graying clouds
Heavier with each hour, downpour
The latter to come after
This moment, only waiting
Will release it, near the thunder.
We wrestle with uncertainties
The planting of our corn, hope
Encourages our work, faith that
Rain will fall. Behind the glass
I am an outsider, helping but
Stepping aside, taking riskier
Routes. My orientation skewed
Defining a next day, organizing
By merging tasks, time is vague
A concept fused in space, the sun
Meandering, its movement invents
As I pursue, to escape this circumstance.
